Feb 18, 2008 - Flag raising celebration by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Craft demonstrations throughout the day in the Memorial area with gingerbread cookies and hot cider served in the log house. Free admission

Feb 22, 2008 George Washington Birthday (actual) Birthday cake served at 1:00 pm in the visitor center. The birthsite will be illuminated by candle lanterns all day. Free admission
