Visit Chesapeake Bay Events

To mark Women’s History Month, Stratford Hall will welcome distinguished scholar Joan Cashin to speak on Varina Howell Davis, wife of Confederate president Jefferson Davis. Associate Professor of History at Ohio State University, Dr. Cashin will draw from her acclaimed biography First Lady of the Confederacy: Varina Davis’s Civil War. Her lecture will be followed by a reception and book-signing.
