The Essex Inn in conjunction with the Essex Public Library will be hosting it’s first Weekend with a Writer on November 9th and 10th.
Enjoy a weekend getaway complete with great food, a great book, great antiques and a great writer!
This is your opportunity to “Spend the Weekend” with Emyl Jennings.
Emyl Jenkins is an antiques appraiser who has worked at two auction houses and has written numerous books and articles on antiques, as well as a syndicated column. She is the author of Emyl Jenkins’ Appraisal Book, Emyl Jenkins’ Southern Christmas, The Book of American Traditions, and From Store bought to Homemade. Her latest book, Stealing with Style, is her first venture in fiction and is the first of a planned series. “Stealing with Style”
Our weekend commences on Friday at 6:00 with dinner at Lowery’s where Ms. Jenkins will talk about her book.
Saturday includes breakfast, our “Antiques Roadshow” where you can bring one of your favorite antiques and have it appraised, and free time to explore our local antique shows or catch up on your reading.
Saturday night will be an intimate evening here at the Inn for just our guests and Ms. Jenkins. We will start at 6pm with cocktails and then enjoy a three-course meal.
Sunday includes breakfast and a special take home gift from the Inn.
