Celebrate the arrival of spring with a bike tour through the backroads of Mathews County along the Chesapeake Bay, the East River and the North River. Registration begins Friday, May 16, 2008 with the main ride on Saturday, May 17. Stay the night and enjoy a “no frills” ride on Sunday and explore Mobjack Bay and Gwynn’s Island.

Enjoy scenic lanes winding down forgotten coves or pedal in and out of bountiful salt marshes instead of traffic. Consider bringing your canoe or kayak for a pedal/paddle weekend.

On Saturday May 17th come to a Block Party sponsored by the community. Enjoy music on the old court house green, sample foods from the hometown vendors or just strool the village. There is plenty to see!
